Crossroads Community Church - Brighton, Illinois

My family will be making a one year committment to a new church start in Brighton, Illinois, called Crossroads Community Church, which is being sponsored by Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Medora.

Under the leadership of Stan Hunt and Rich Stuckey, a group of approximately 35 people started meeting at Stan's home in Brighton for a small group study on "The Purpose Driven Life."  Many in this group have been attending services at our new church, which is now called Crossroads Community Church.  My family attends Alton First Southern Baptist Church at 4500 Humbert Rd., Alton, Illinois.  We were asked to take on this mission last year and jumped at the chance to see the Lord work through this ministry! 
 
We began services at Brighton North Elementary School cafeteria, 201 E. City Limits, on Sunday, June 6, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. and had 45 in attendance!  PRAISE GOD!  We are so blessed to have such a dedicated core group.  There is children church provided for kids ages birth-3rd grade. 
 
We have also obtained new projection equipment for reading worship song lyrics and we are set up to use our new laptop computer through this same system.
